Bla┼żekovi─ç: Preferential voice is response to the request of citizens

vinkovci boris webVinkovci, 14th April 2015 ÔÇô "Preferential voting and so-called female quota are two most important aspects of the new election law by which we elect representatives in the new assembly of the Croatian Parliament", said at the public tribune within the 2nd Department of the Academy in Vinkovci CPP's MP and Head of the Political Academy Boris Bla┼żekovi─ç.

Referring to the Law on the Election of Members of the Croatian Parliament, Bla┼żekovi─ç argued that the preferential vote will not so significant influence on the policy as on the responsibility of politicians, elected in this way by citizens who wanted that person.

"In order to achieve better results and profiling, competition will from now on require additional efforts and commitment of politicians and political parties. However, very good result on elections will be a direct result of better communication with voters. That is the best this new election law provides to the citizens", stressed CPP's parliamentarian.

He added that the obligation of 40% representation of women on the lists is not only the duty of the parties, but also a call to women to be more active, to engage and be more numerous in politics, which contributes to the Croatian political development.

Within the tour of county organizations of CPP's MPs, an interactive discussion with members and supporters of the party and interested citizens about the law was developed.

"Citizens are seriously interested in electoral processes and policies, but they do not have a good opinion of politicians. That is the responsibility of politicians and the media who failed to establish a different relationship of policy towards citizens", concluded Bla┼żekovi─ç.

Aware that at this time the atmosphere in the society is not good, Bla┼żekovi─ç stressed the fact that many citizens care to have quality politicians and it can be changed if society becomes more engaged as the whole.

Host of the public tribune was president of CPP's subsidiary Vinkovci Mirna Krajina-Andri─Źevi─ç, who thanked CPP's MP Boris Bla┼żekovi─ç for his engagement, information and education within the 2nd Department of the Academy and for taking care of their members and the interested public.
