Blažeković with the citizens of city district Novi Zagreb – east

Zagreb, 27th May 2015 - On questions about the problems that face citizens of city district Novi Zagreb - east answered Boris Blažeković, CPP's MP and Head of Political Academy.
They talked about communal problems in the area of city district Novi Zagreb - east, as well as the Election Law of the Croatian Parliament. Blažeković has explained what changes bring to voters and political parties.
"Preferential voting and so-called female quota are the two most important factors of the new election law, according to which we will elect representatives in the new convocation of the Croatian Parliament", said Blažeković.
Below, referring to the Law on Election of Members of the Croatian Parliament, Blažeković noted that the preferential vote will not so significantly influence on the policy as the responsibility of elected politicians with the feeling that the citizens chose the person they wanted.
"In order to achieve the best results and profiling, competition will from now on require additional efforts and commitment of politicians and political parties. However, that good result will be a direct result of better communication with voters, and that is most of what citizens expect from the new election law", emphasized CPP's MP.
Below he said that commitment to have 40% of women on the lists is not only the duty of the parties, but also a call to women to be more active and more numerous in politics, which contributes to Croatian political development.
They also discussed the implementation of small municipal action in the city district of Novi Zagreb - east for 2014, as well as the plan of small municipal action in 2015. Significant is reducing the amount of funds spent and the funds available for small community actions in the city district. Also, citizens have pointed out the problem of the Holding and their communal activity in Zagreb, that they do not perform satisfactorily because of inertia. This is especially true for the residents of New Zagreb who live near the Jakuševac.
Host of the event was Igor Bočkaj, president of the subsidary Novi Zagreb - east, and the conversation was held within the 2nd Department of the Academy for further education in general policy.
