Smart city affects social development and economic growth

si zd sb gradovi webSisak, Zadar, Slavonski Brod, February 3, 2017 - Presentation about the concept of smart cities in their communities was held by HNS Sisak-moslavina, Zadar and Slavonski Brod-Posavina county organizations.

The Academy teachers Mary Bilman, Selma PriŔlin and Duro Kordic were talking about the concept and challenges of smart and sustainable cities in Sisak, Zadar and Slavonski Brod.

They pointed out in their presentations that the very idea of smart cities is to increase the quality of life and standard of living with sustainability planning for future generations. The idea of smart cities involves a wide range of innovative and effective city management where technology serves as a tool for achieving the goals. With examples of Vedran Kružić, our teachers emphasized that the role of the citizens is a partnership, whereby the size of the city is not important but its key features, as well as predonditions of development are very important.

The seminar is concluded with the thought that smart city includes the synergy of all parts of community life and mutual interdependence starting with management, economic and social development and technological component.
