Zagreb, October 18, 2014 – „Knowledge is the greatest wealth you can have, while with training you can successfully share with others. The goal of a good training is sharing knowledge", said Sander Janssen, VVD at the beginning of the seminar on technics of sharing knowledge.
Our trainers had an opportunity, through a brief lecture by trainer Janssen, as well as individual and group exercises and discussion, to gain practical knowledge and advance their presentation skills.
Several workshops were held on the seminar. There were exercises on how to release yourself from fear during a teaching session, the role of trainers was explored as well as methods of sharing knowledge in order to accomplish a goal of the training, while the seminar also delved into the question why our trainers became lecturers in the Academy.
„In each of these workshops that we are participating today, remember that it is our skills that we are perfecting and not our knowledge", said the VVD trainer with a wealth of experience, reemphasizing the guiding words of today's workshops: LSD (Listen- Summary – Deepening question).
The entire seminar was a one-day training in which a leading role was taken up by the trainers of the Academy themselves, meanwhile realizing that all methods of learning are the same, however, technics of teaching differ greatly. Trainers also had an opportunity to test their presentation skills in a familiar environment and gain valuable feedback.
„A desire to learn new things and share it with others must drive you forward! Do not forget that with every presentation and lecture you become surer of yourself. And in the process, you learn as well. Technics you have learned today will help you in your work; however, do not allow yourself to employ them automatically. This will result in you becoming an arrogant trainer", concluded Janssen.
Introduction to the seminar was given by Boris Blažeković, head of the Academy and the CPP's MP, who held a lecture on the work of Academy's trainers.
„You hold the knowledge and are the wealth of the institution that is the Academy, and we all know that knowledge takes first place in all of the CPP's programs. You hold in your hands, a great responsibility for teaching and sharing the knowledge you possess", said Blažeković.
